Engine No. 181 is a 1982 Ford C8000 Pierce Fire Engine. Engine No. 181 was retired in 2019. It was used by Collins Volunteer Fire Department located in Collins, Wisconsin.
Tanker No. 364 is a 1982 Ford C8000 Emergency One Tanker. Tanker No. 364 was retired from service in 2021. Our tanker was bought and used by the Lattimore Number 7 Fire Department located in Lattimore, North Carolina up until it was retired from service.
To bring and consume alcohol on board the fire engine, you must be at least 21 years of age. To attend a Brews and Cruise events, everyone on board must be at least 21 years of age. ID's will be checked upon boarding the fire engine. The downtown party cruise is a family friendly cruise that requires that there be a legal guardian that is responsible for anyone under the age of 18 years old.
We meet at different bars and breweries around Asheville. Locations will be disclosed via email or phone call within 24 prior to the tour.
Yes. Normally, we stop halfway through the tour, however, we will stop for as many bathroom breaks as your group needs.
Yes, however, it must be approved by the driver and/or operator. The fire engine is the face of Hot Zone Party Fire Engine, LLC and we want to keep a tasteful appearance. We ask that you remember that decorating may cut into your cruise time. Upon departure of cruise, all decorations must be removed, or the cleaning fee will be charged to the card on file that was used to book the cruise.
We provide a unique avenue to view Downtown Asheville. We will provide you with a cooler, ice, and an operator that will assist with any needs of the guests. We also have a sound system to play music during the cruise.
We ask that you remain seated and seat-belted while the fire truck is in motion. However, if you stand and dance, it is at your own risk.
You will need to bring your government issued ID. Guests will need to bring any alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages that you like. Glass and hard liquor are not allowed on the fire engine. You may bring snacks. Please be aware that when bringing any items on board the fire engine, Hot Zone Party Fire Engine, LLC is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
We want everyone to have a blast, however, to be in compliance with city ordinance and state laws, there are some things that are not allowed. Inappropriate behavior will result in the offending guests(s) being asked by Hot Zone Party Fire Engine, LLC’s drivers or operators to disembark immediately. No refund will be issued to guest(s) requested to leave. Passengers will be responsible for their own transportation from the point of leaving. Inappropriate behavior includes but is not limited to: Extreme intoxication, public urination /vomiting, giving alcohol to non-passengers or passengers under 21 years of age, foul language or gestures, excessive noise/screaming, inappropriate behavior toward non-passengers and passengers, or throwing anything off of the fire engine.
Hot Zone Party Fire Engine, LLC guests are responsible for leaving the fire engine clean when departing the cruise. If a guest becomes sick and vomits, there will be a $200 cleaning fee charged to the card that is on file that was used to book the cruise. The $200 cleaning fee will be charged to the card that is on file that was used to book the cruise if there is any trash or items left on the fire engine upon departure of guests.
While there are no refunds for cancellations, Hot Zone Party Fire Engine, LLC does allow for rescheduling, however, rescheduling must take place no later than 48-hours before the cruise departure time. When rescheduling, the cruise may be rescheduled up to one year from the date of originally scheduled cruise. Rescheduled cruises will be based solely on availability and are not a guarantee.
Whether it is rain or shine, we still provide the party cruise. You will want to dress for the weather. In the event that there is severe weather, (ex: tornado, hurricane, lightning) Hot Zone Party Fire Engine, LLC will make a decision at the time of the cruise. Our priority is always the safety of our guests. If we must cancel your cruise, we will reschedule your cruise or provide a refund. If your cruise is cut short by more than 30 minutes, you will receive a prorated refund. Keep in mind, if you are a no-show, there will not be a refund issued. Due to being in the mountains of Western North Carolina, weather can change in the matter of minutes, and cruises can continue, thus being the reason that decisions involving the weather are made at the time of the cruise. We also ask that you keep in mind that these decisions are made by Hot Zone Party Fire Engine, LLC drivers and operators and are final.

The Downtown Asheville party cruise is 2 hours. The Brews and Cruise is 4 hours. The time includes checking in, checking ID's and a quick safety briefing. We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early to check-in and sign liability waivers in order to not cut down on your tour time. If you do not have an ID, you will not be allowed on board the fire engine. Showing up late may result in being left behind by your group or it will cut your cruise short.
While the max is 14 people on a truck, if you have a large group, please reach out to us so that we can attempt to make arrangements to bring your entire group along for the fun!
Yes. Everyone riding on the fire engine must provide a government issued ID and and sign a liability waiver before boarding the fire engine.
We will wait 30 minutes for your group to arrive. If you are more than 30 minutes late, you will be considered a no-show and a refund will not be given. The time that you are not present will cut into your cruise time, as we will have to return as scheduled for the next tour group. Please be sure to arrive 10-15 minutes early to ensure an on-time departure for the tour.
